Biography

Ainka is a Development Coach and the owner of BreakThrough. She supports people in pursuing a healthy and happy lifestyle. She brings a “whole person” approach to her practice and works with individuals and organizations to grow people and creates process that supports learning and excellence.

She has held various leadership roles in tech, retail, telecom, financial services, and the non-profit sector. Voted Best of the Bay Pilates Class by the East Bay Express in 2015 Ainka became a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher in 2007, NASM® Certified Personal Trainer in 2010 and a RYT® Instructor with the Yoga Alliance in 2013, and now at the 500 hours level she is pursuing a Yoga Therapist certification with the Niroga Institute which will take her to RYT-800 hours. She spent time on staff at The Life Performance Coaching Center in San Francisco after receiving her Certification as a Life Performance Coach®.  Ainka has designed and delivered workshops for numerous organizations including Kaiser Permanente, Whole Foods, Plus One Management, IvyExec.com, INROADS, Inc, the University of California, Berkeley, the National Black MBA Association and the National Association of Women MBAs.

Ainka received her BA in English Literature with an emphasis on education from UC Berkeley. She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School where she earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Operations and Strategy. She holds numerous certifications, including MBTI®, Designing Instruction, Group Facilitation and General Human Resource Management. All of these experiences contribute to Ainka being a creative thinker and relentless advocate in support of growth and well-being. More than anything she hopes to help people experience that the rigorous work of building an organization or life that you love can be joyful and satisfying, even while in the process of working towards your goals.
